Just got this email from Global Medic, please vote for Shane
Hello Everyone,
I am hoping you will send this out to your network.
Shane Eickmann is a hero. More importantly he is one of us, a paramedic. He works for Niagara EMS and volunteers for GlobalMedic. Over the years Shane has trained land mine clearance personnel to be medics in Cambodia; deployed to work in a field hospital in Haiti following their tragic quake in 2010 and deployed a field hospital to Turkey in October of 2011.
He is a finalist for the Scotiabank Game Changers Award to be presented at the Grey Cup in Toronto on November 25th. If he wins, GlobalMedic will receive $100,000 to help us save lives around the world.
We can help Shane win buy voting for him as often as possible. Vote daily. Spread the word to your networks. Think of how good it would look for our profession to have a working paramedic win a honour and have it broadcast all across this nation. Think of all the lives you can help save simply by voting.
I am very proud of all our volunteers and love to see them get the recognition they truly deserve.
