Problems:
-Starts only with a burst of quick start fluid
-Idles/revs fine once started (will run as long as I let it run)
-Occasional knocking from rear wheel area
-Once rear wheel is stopped (contact with ground or breaks) it dies
-Rear wheel very hard to turn when it is not running

Has fresh oil (Motul 5100) with maybe 1km on it, also fresh gear oil in the rear (Yamalube). Brand new fuel filter.

Ideas? I am completely lost here. Gas is not too old and spark plug checked out good last time I had it out. Plug wire/cap is also semi-recent. Had carb out and it looked near brand new inside, nothing appeared to be clogged (cleaned it anyways).

Check inside the clutch houseing for any obstruction. also your compression may be way down and not gererate enough power when weight is on the wheels.

Can't open the clutch housing. Don't have the special tools.

Will look into a compression test. Just need to find a tester to borrow :p

When you try to start it with out quick start are you giving it any throttle ? You could have some of the hoses mixed up or the bystarter is not working properly. It works as your auto choke.

Yeah I give it throttle. Also I would assume it is not the choke due to that if I get it started and let it warm to full temp, shut it off, and try to start again, same thing.
