Saturday June 2 - Newmarket to Erin the scenic way

So I owe someone a drink for being awesome. They know who they are. So we're meeting up on Saturday.

I'm thinking this might be the start of a pretty good weekly ride but let's give it a few weeks and see how it goes.

When: Saturday June 2 - 1:30 pm
Where: Tim Hortons at S/E corner of Younge and Kingston Rd.

Route:
Google Maps says 2h 6min but I suspect it won't take that long giving us more time to play in forks of the credit.

We'll start by heading north on Younge and take the Holland Landing fork to Holland Landing road (gentle twisty start and we stay out of the traffic until Bradford). We'll joing back onto Younge until Bridge street where we'll be turning left to get onto Canal Rd. This is a little rough in some places so we'll take it easy and enjoy the bends/scenery.

When Canal Rd rd meets back up with Highway 9 (caution - there is usually a bit of gravel here from cagers cutting the corner while accelerating) we'll join traffic moving west to Highway 50. We'll head north again to hook up to Hockley Rd.

We'll do the full Hockley run right to the north side of Orangeville where we'll hop onto Highway 10 and follow it south to Forks. Once at the forks we'll run it through the once and take a rest at the Shed. We'll then decide whether or not to do a couple more runs through the Forks before heading over to Erin. We can either head up Mississauga Road and take Charleston Rd or we can follow Bush St out of Belfountain to Erin. There's a fantastic chicken place in Erin called Churascos. We'll finish the ride there (or you can split off at the forks).

Heading back to Newmarket? Take Charleston Sideroad to it's finish at Airport road. Turn left to go north to Highway 9. Follow the ramp and enjoy the LONG straight line that will eventually become Davis Dr.

Awe man... We'll have to set something up. Helping at the parents in Hillsburg on Sunday and was figuring on finishing my day there. Would later work better? Say in the afternoon around 1:30-2? I can sleep in and maybe spend more money at SON Accessories.

yeah if the weather is good i will be ready to hit the road for that time. text me

Well the traffic on this hasn't been stellar in terms of response but I'm still gonna give it a shot anyways depending on the weather of course. Weather networks says only 30-60% chance of rain between 1pm and 5pm with a high of 15. They're also saying less than 1mm of rain. Hopefully this is indeed the case. If you're interested in joining us I'll be there regardless at the Timmies. Probably outside nursing a Double Double. Hope to see at least a few riders out there. If the weather isn't fantastic but still okay we'll go for a much shorty run and probably finish where we started. Again depends on what the people who show want to do.
Hope to see you there.

I'm in holland landing and would love to join you but i'm away this w/e, however a weekly ride would be a great idea.......

Weather seems to be toying with us but I'll be there. The roads are 95% dry and the wind is only a minor irritant every now and then. Pace will definitely be easy given the gusting wind/occasional puddles.

I'm thinking about Royal Dist, but am game for whatever as long as it's west bound.
