Its supposed to be pretty nice weather on Saturday for the end of November! I am not giving up yet! I thought I'd post another one of my Niagara rides and see if there's any late season experienced riders still out there.
Saturday Nov 26th - Niagara backroads. Twisty roads from Hamilton to Niagara Falls and maybe the Lake Erie shoreline, or do a similar route back to Hamilton. This ride is for Experienced riders, no Newbs or 250 Ninjas. I lived in Niagara for 20 years and I have a great circuit put together out there.
I'll be at "Markham Station Restaurant" in Scarborough at the Plaza at Shepherd and Markham rds at 9:15am, they serve great breakfasts 24/7, show up if you want to have a bite or coffee and chat before we ride.
We'll leave at 10:30am and stop in Burlington at the Walkers line and Mainway Timmies at about 11:15 or so, for fuel and to meet other riders from that area who show up - they have to post up on this thread so I know to swing by there.
The pace for this ride will be somewhat normal on the highway to "Highly spirited" in the backroads (not sure what that means, but it sounds good).
Once in the Falls around 1-2pm, we can see who wants to bail and get on the highway and return, or who wants to continue on to Port Colborne, Dunnville,Cayuga and Caledonia, then back to Hamilton then Toronto. We'll be back in Toronto about 5pm (or sooner if you have to bail, I can point you to the QEW at any time during the ride), I will not monitor this post past Friday at 5pm.

Minimum bike for this ride would need to be atleast an SV650, and that's if you can ride it well. If you're on a smaller or slower bike, don't show up because you will not have fun. This post is not meant to turn into a debate about the capabilities of Newbs and their bikes and no one should take personal offence to this exclusion.
I will only monitor this thread until Friday at 5pm, otherwise, we'll see you Saturday morning.

Route and times are somewhat flexible. Could ride in Halton Hills first also, then go to Niagara Falls.

3rd season, 50,000km, with most of my group riding with supersports on a 250....oddly I've never been turned down to ride with the bigger bikes and never have I held up a group...but I will look for a ride elsewhere.

so what was the point on posting for this ride?

How quickly they forget.. :lmao:

hahaha yea yea, you're right...

but that was due to my *** ragdolling on the ground, rather than riding too slow, which is what is being implied.

Not sure how I could be more clear. If you insist on showing up for this ride, fine............I don't want to hear about it when you have no idea where anyone went 2 minutes into the ride (when we got on the 401, 2 blocks from the restaurant).

I always love your threads, there are always somebody who will debate about what they can do on a 250 :lmao:

Loneronin you should join in.....we could hang out on this ride and IF its LAME....we could just PASS them all...:)
I'm interested what skillz everyone has.......OK OK...the skillz they DONT have..:(
I should borrow Goldies small bike

dont know why the OP gets harrased so much about his threads. im not for speeding and going into the stunting charges but atleast the guy mentions it in his post what the type of ride it will be. i think its better that the OP warns the potential joiners that this is gona be a fast paced ride so ppl who are not comfortable with those speeds dont get left behind or worse, want to play catch up and end up in a ditch.

im going in the same direction on saturday too but not gona join this ride. maybe we will see your group at some point.

ride safe!

Did not read whole post when it was posted (too long), but thought that might show up... but now...

Bugaga! :lmao:
those types of posts are always so freaking funny!

Sorry dude, I'm not coming... my bike is ya too slow for such experiments...

This ride isn't a race. Go your own pace in the twisties, we wait at stop signs for everyone. Just no Newbs or slow (cruiser, Newbie) bikes please. I am not blitzing the 401 but I tend to go with the traffic flow and pass a fair amount, which isn't in the 250 ninja realm really. I took a co worker out on this circuit about a month ago with his 250 ninja, he had a great time on the roads out in niagara etc, but the highway pace required ALOT of waiting up. My wrists aren't into that on a regular basis. Most bikes will hold a decent enough pace, catch up in the straights, whatever, but Newb bikes are for Newb rides, not this ride.
Roads have not been salted yet in Niagara.

I won't be monitoring this thread further. Whomever is showing up, I'll see you at Markham Station restaurant Saturday morning. I park on the walkway at on the Markham rd side, beside the window.

Wish I could do this!

theassassin puts on a great ride, but as he states this is not for small displacement bikes, new riders, or cruisers. Trust me ;-)
