I still remember them doing this on TV when I was a little kid, interrupting regular broadcasting. They were scrambling jets to intercept an unknown object coming from the north (still cold war back then) and I remember being freaked that they were going to shoot Santa down.... until the pilots radioed that they identified the intercepted object as Santa...
Good times! Santa was over Poland when I checked before we went to my sisters house for Christmas Eve.
Kid woke up at 1:30am, then got yelled at by grandma at 3am when he was tossing things in his room as he couldn’t sleep from excitement and her room is below his.

Glad he made it quickly through Poland , with you guys putting out shots of vodka and a tray of smoked meat , he’s lucky he didnt crash the sleigh in Slovenia .
