Safety while you wait- Durham

I find most places do, as long as you call ahead for bike safeties. Usually they take like a half hour to an hour from my experience.

Try Ken's Motorworks Whitby Ken's Motoworks - GTA Motorcycle and Classic Car Repair and Service
or Precision Oshawa Precision Cycle Works Home
They will more likely take you while you wait if the bike is newer.
If the bike is 10 years old or older, they probably won't do it while you wait.
Be sensible, don't go there if you know you need brakes, or you know you need a new tire
and expect them to do a safety while you wait. Check the bike out yourself first. (signals all work, brake lights...)

I took my '97 Goldwing to Ken's in Whitby last year. He did it while I waited outside. Took about 20 minutes. $100 iirc. As Klaatu says, do the safety inspection yourself first to make sure nothing is wrong, or you may end up leaving the shop without a safety (or taking the bus home while the shop fixes your bike).

FYI, GP refused to even look at the bike because "it's impossible to get parts if it needs anything". Nevermind that they had sold me all the parts I'd needed to get it into shape to begin with... I really WANT to like GP, but they do make it hard sometimes.

There's a shop called Dundas Motors in North Oshawa by Costco that I've had a bunch of work done at over the years, including the last safety on my current bike. Solid bunch of guys there, no BS, no nonsense, no unnecessary upsells or whatnot. They've done some work on my daughters car and some maintenance on my wife's old Volt (including the safety when I sold it) and they've been straight shooters with everything.

The did my bike while I waited.

I had no idea at all they were even there until 4-5 years ago when I needed something fixed on my daughters car on short notice and I found them on Google. They did her a solid and squeezed her in. Been going there ever since. They're in a weird spot in the middle of a residential area and I'd have had zero idea they were even there had I not found them on Google.

Motorsports Pickering did one for me about 10yrs ago. Called first thing in the morning. They asked if I could be there for 11am that morning and by 11:30ish it was done. Easiest legitimate safety I've ever gotten.
