Safety course gear?

Did a quick search on this topic but couldn't find anything.

Anyone got an idea of what is considered acceptable riding gear for a safety course? Mine is coming up this weekend (Learning Curves), and the only thing that I have bought so far is a helmet. I am trying to minimize costs right now until I pass the course and pick out a bike. On their website, their riding gear requirements are a little bit vague as it only says "leather boots, leather gloves, and tough jacket and pants."

I'll post pics of my gear that I am hoping will be allowed. I am assuming my boots and gloves are acceptable, but not so sure on the jackets. You be the judge.

For the pants, I am assuming any pair of jeans will do the trick?

Thanks

welcome n goodluck on safty test.
you will do just fine with what u have:). all u need also id go with jean jacket. most of test is at slow speeds and u will be just fine.

Jacket - motorcycle specific, or heavy denim jacket will be fine.
Boots - as long as it covers your ankles and offers some protection - will your boots protect your ankles?
Gloves - as long as it offers some protection to your wrist bone
Pants - jeans will be fine as long as there are no rips or holes in your jeans

Enjoy your course, you will have a blast. Its going to be a hot one, so take lots of water or Gatorade for the day.

Might not be a bad idea to get a light-colored mesh jacket for air flow/cooling.

Just make sure you stay hydrated. I wore a thick alpinestars leather jacket in 35 degree weather 2 years ago when I did the course and sweat like a pig. Nothing happened to me because I drank litres of water.

^this.

Are those designer leather boots, or actual work boots? if the former, they might not accept them. bring them in for your in-course lesson and they'll let you know.

Maybe have some rain gear handy.

Nothing finer than riding in wet jeans for 8 hours.

As long as they cover the heel bone, regular leather boots should be fine.

Thanks for the welcome and the help guys!

They are designer leather boots, so not very protective. I did speak to the nice instructors at the in-class session today and I am good to go. Looking forward to actually getting on a bike for the first time and riding!!

See you all on the road soon.

Afternoon or midnight course?

Eat a few Bananas to get some potassium it has been a long time since I spent that much time on a bike. I got wicked Charlie horses. The potassium in the bananas will help a lot. I did my course last year and had a blast.
Drink lots of water and HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
