Just got my first bike a vintage Honda CB with rusty spokes. Any ideas on how to clean them and make them look shiny? Do I have to get a new set of stainless steel?
What are those darn scouring pads called with the cleaner built in? Is it Ajax or Comet, dang can't remember. Used to use those all the time to clean the rusty spokes on my bicycle as a kid. Was it S.O.S pads? Anyway, they worked like a champ.

Nice recollection JZ67 - went through boxes of those as a kid on my "Venture All Mountain" mtn bike! Rusty spokes, re-packing axle and headset bearings every spring on a 100 dollar bike....ahhh the good ol days of Jr. Wrenching
