I just love Rosey Teds and Ted himself but he has a very ugly blemish in his business with that young dude that works in the secondary bay where all those bikes are kept at the back.
He is rude.
Ted was busy with a lot of customers and after he installed my tires and I had electrical problems with a backlight. I asked Ted to fix it and he told me "Go over there and tell him to test your light and fix it, then come back here". So I went to where the dude was and told him what Ted told me and he made a frown and rolled his eyes backwards, I told him "Don't look at me, it's your boss that sent me here". He said "Yeah but I'm busy here", I told him "Yeah he's even busier over there". Anyways this guy just brutally pulled my wires down like someone was pulling down vines in a jungle that were in his path, that's when I never took my eyes off him. He almost broke the lightbulb because he could not get it off with his fingers and used a plyer to twist it off. The lightbulb fell somewhere on the floor and rolled away somewhere. He could not find it and grunted to me "Sh*t see what I mean? I don't have time for your bike I'm busy".
That's when I got hissed off and told him "Dude you think you are doing this for free for me? I'm paying Ted for your time do your job or give me back my bike". At that point the guy calmed down and came to earth.
This is not the first time I have a run-in with this guy. Months earlier he also did my back brake pads and to engage the brakes you had to push the foot lever waaaay down just to apply them, even with the old shoes it was NOT like this, I like my back brakes to start engaging with just the foot lever being pushed 50% down, not 90%. I came back to him and he snatched "What? What's worng?" I said "Your work is wrong, you installed new brake pads so how come my brakes are worse? I push the foot lever down and the bike barely stops, the engage area is supposed to be higher not lowered". The dude grudgingly took a look at my bike and tried to do something at the back he then gave up and said "Well all bikes are like this, you just have to apply more pressure".
This smart-allec tried to tell me that my bike was "wrong" the way it was before and that after he messed it up it was "okay", yeah right buddy. Don't let this rude, unprofessional guy touch your bike, let Ted do it or that older guy with the white-haired ponytail , they do a good job, not this basketcase.
