Hi,
I'm about to sign up for my M2 course with RTI and I was just wondering if anyone has been lately, what types of motorcycles would they have there?

I did a 3-hour motorcycle experience a few months back with Learning Curves and they had some old CBR 125s as well as some of the new 2012 CBR 125s which i really liked. so i was just curious if someone has the answer.

Thanks

Same 125CBRs and some Honda Cruisers as well as a few dual sports. I did my course last October in North York.

Get used to all the bikes, I hogged the 125R the entire time, then somehow got stuck on a TW200 for my final test. Was not really an issue but being comfortable with all the bikes helps if this happens to you.

When I did my course April of last year (North York location):

- Lots of CBR125Rs (all the previous gen)
- 2-3 TW200 (I think) dualsports
- 2-3 Suzuki 250cc Marauders (cruisers)
- 2-3 Honda 150cc 'somethings' (they were a standard bike, which I think they said were imported from Brazil at some point and never sold here)

Also IIRC, only the CBR125s were fuel injected, and even amongst them some were better than others. What most people did was try to hog and stick with one especially on test day -- I know on day 1 the one I had had 2nd gear issues (I could kick the shifter up through the engine and it still would only find neutral 50% of the time), whereas the bike I used day2 had quirks but had no 2nd gear issues at all.

Those are the best ever for the test IMO. So easy and forgiving. Handle superbly in tight spaces, sitting position comfortable for low speed, visibility great. CBR125 is too small for me, ergos don't work for my frame. Also found it too twitchy. Cruisers are awkward for maneuvering.
When I did my course (was few years back), they had a Hyosung 250 as well on top of the other bikes listed. That was brutal, very top heavy and awkward with hard clutch.

RTI runs about 10 sites a weekend and the bikes sometimes get switched to diff locations but as a rule all of them will have sports, cruisers, standards and dirt.

The 150 is the Honda Titan.

The test is one at a time. Technically all 20 riders could use the same bike if they wished, it would juSt take longer. They explain this before the test so use the bike you are comfy with and share like a jk'er!
