Rotor blasting/sanding after trackdays/race?

Is there any benefit to media blasting/sanding the rotors after a few track days/race?

I have the benefit of having a lathe so I have taken them off a couple times and spun them in the lathe and cleaned them up using a scotchbrite wheel in a die grinder. Specially when changing out the pads, it takes the glaze off without the risk of damaging the rotors. I just have to be careful the fiirst time back at the track because they bite pretty hard!!!!
