A new season, a new bike and a new Helmet…finally here it is. The new Valentino Rossi 2013 helmet: the PistaGP Soleluna 2013!

The PistaGP SoleLuna 2013 is the helmet that Valentino Rossi currently is wearing in the motoGP 2013 season. This helmet replaces the PistaGP Project 46 and the PistaGP Elements that Rossi has had over the past two years.


This new SoleLuna design is featuring Valentino Rossi’s most famous design elements: the Sun and Moon. This new Sun and Moon 2013 helmet will come available in the PistaGP design, the AGV flagship helmet model. As usual the SoleLuna 2013 helmet has been designed by the legendary Aldo Drudi, the designer responsible for all of the Valentino Rossi helmets.

The SoleLuna 2013 can from now on be pre-ordered at Champion Helmets. We are the first party in the world to offer you the possibility to order this helmet! By placing your pre-order now you can make sure that when AGV releases the helmet, you will be amongst the first few people in the world to immediately get this helmet. The helmet is expected to be released by AGV in September/October. As always, Champion Helmets will be amongst the first few AGV distributors worldwide to offer you this helmet. The price is expected to be the same as the Project 46 helmet but still has to be confirmed by AGV.

AGV PistaGP Valentino Rossi Mugello 2013

Rossi has debuted his special Mugello helmet design for this years Mugello Grand Prix. Shown ahead of MotoGP FP3 the AGV helmet features an Aldo Drudi design based on the small turtle decal usually sported on his visor, which is also a tattoo on the Italian.

Of his choice of turtle tattoo he has said he chose it “Because I like the animal a lot. I had it as a mascot from when I was very young.” It also gives a strong contrast of slowness and speed as the graphic usually features his racing number on it’s shell.

Mugello has given us some classic Rossi helmet specials over the years, including the 2008 favourite Rossi face, his 2006 heroes design featuring Steve McQueen, the eyeball design from 2011 and the hands on head image from 2009

:rolleyes:Ya i hope the new turtle mugello helmet goes for sale. It's funny how he pokes fun at himself. On the side of turtle helmet you can see him chasin lorenzo marquez and pedrosa. Too funny

Well, now it makes sense why there was a turtle crossing a highway story posted a couple weeks ago... It was qualifying! :D

Turtle helmet is awesome. My new favorite rossi helmet. If I had $1300 laying around I'd probably buy it. Good thing I don't have a spare $1300 laying around!
 
Great design, reminds me of Mario Brothers turtle - still like Project46 Helmet as plain as it is :)
 
Man I love the Pista Gp, and his design for this year. I have the 5 Continents Gp tech. Awesome lid
