Rosey Toes Safety?

Interesting...but...if you tossed him a little extra cash would he check off everything?

do you really think as a noob you should be overlooking anything?

I'm pretty sure per his other threads it was delivered with a safety cert. that I'm guessing is a Ted cert.

If you're as paranoid as you claim to be, should you really be discussing bribery on a public forum?

Was just wondering because the safety was from teds and i heard he did bribes before...none the less the bikes mine now, paid for and in my garage :P

yup :S heard he isn't really 'picky' on stuff but i got the bike now :D

I know what you're asking, and yes a Ted safety is generally preferable for the seller. If you are concerned, look up Adrian at ace moto (search the site) as he is very thorough and in this case is a third-party. It will be money well spent.

He safetied my 1988 FZR400 and barely looked at it. I just wanted to get it on on the road. No fart jokes every from him though :/

yeah this is what i was worried about, when did he safety it?

but at the same time i have heard that he sharpened his rules after having his license removed, but knowing someone that has done it before im sure a little extra cash wouldn't make him not do it again :T

ill give him a call and ask him how he safetied the bike, even though i doubt he would say "yea i didn't look at anything" its worth a shot.

Ohhhh to be a "fly on the wall" for that conversation .. lol ..

I'm not sure why you need him to REALLY inspect it. If so you should just bring it to the shop. The MTO safety is just to meet road regulations.

yeah i know but my friends told me when they got safeties the mechanic would tell them if something looked like it needed to be replaced but still signed off on the safety

would be nice to ask if he saw anything that looked a bit worn, sprockets, chain, leaks etc.

probably going to bring it into a shop soon anyways the seller barely knew anything on the service of the bike, least i could do is get an oil change

Why not try to do it yourself and learn how to do a few "simple" things. Not to preach but the more you do on your own, the better you will get to know your bike and the less concerned you will be with all of those things until there is a need for concern.

:lmao:

OP this is why you ask for a safety to be done at your mechanic.
BTW didn't you check the bike over before buying it?
