Their website shows it as full in fast and faster. I'm already in for both days. Anyone else up there?

In like a catholic priest. Red group.

I'll be there both days, running in the green group.
You bastard, took my spots! ;)

Have fun, let us know how it is :)

Home. Tired. Sweaty. I had a good outing, in more than one session today I held my own and did 6 full laps as first out before a pro rider managed to catch me, running low 2:10s for at least one lap, my timer doesn't always pick up a beacon... so much for the $60 timer special. Time for a GPS timer, Christmas maybe?

Perfect way to end the year, any quicker and one of several front end pushes I felt might have ended up ugly. The bike ran flawlessly and I got into a really good rythm. Talked to lots of people, made some new friends, ogled some new 1199 Panigale(s), the RC8R and the RSV4 Factories... played with Jody Christie for a bit before he cleared off like a missile through T10 on... argh.

Next year's schedule includes a lot of Calabogie...

This is the only picture taken of me this weekend (other than the photographer for Inside Moto who took plenty).

GTAM's upload doesn't seem to work. I have some video as well but unfortunately a combination of screwups and battery depletion means I once again didn't get the best sessions of the weekend. Thought I had planned far enough ahead, but my buddy wanted some video ... I have more of him in the yellow sessions than I do me in the red ones. :(

Any word on how the yellow group rider that was airlifted out yesterday is doing?

Lots and lots of prayers and good wishes to him.

Unless the rider, or someone who knows him, posts on here I doubt we will get much feedback. From what I heard, both riders were diagnosed at the track with breaks. Unfortunately the guy airlifted was supposed to have a compound break, which, if true, is very painful and can be dangerous. Hence the airlift. I have no doubt both riders will be in pain and wont heal overnight, but, in the grand scheme of things, they should be fine. As I say though, this is just based around what I heard.

Perhaps the worst part of the whole incident is that one of the riders was supposed to be doing something he was specifically told not to do at riders meeting. And that's overtake (or undertake in this instance) on the apex of a corner. I am very happy to be contradicted and put right, but v. good sources told me that one rider tried undercutting another rider on the apex of 4 and there was contact which put both riders down and out.

ps, nice to meet you and your crew yesterday.

I can confirm the compound break. The paramedics were parked 30 feet from my camper for 1/2 hour. The arm wasn't a pretty sight.

I heard that one of the riders suffered a tank slapper and the second rider low sided while trying to avoid it and hit the the first rider. Again, I don't know if that's actually what occurred but I think it was the track manager who told us that as he stopped by our pit area after the incident and was chatting with us.

Other than that and the bit of rain on Saturday it was a pretty good weekend. Pro 6 ran a good show as usual. I was unfortunately fighting with a trifecta of bike issues over the course of the weekend so didn't get as much riding in as I hoped. The worst of which was an electrical gremlin which took me almost all weekend to solve, but glad I found it before I ended my season or else I would be stressing over it all winter, lol. It was intermittent so would have been hard to troubleshoot while not at the track.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend. :)

Thank you for the images. I'll take a look and see what might be worth purchasing.

Edit: Yep. And it's funny to see the fog on the visors... it was about 8 degrees out that morning.

The pics are FREE! :)

I asked the man who was doing the photo shootout of the CBR1000RRs for Inside Motorcycles, and he gave me his card. That's how I found them. Really nice man, Richard Coburn.
