Rogers DNS issues

I feel like Rogers' DNS servers go down 3-4 times a month. Is it just me? Switching is not really an option for me at the moment, but I don't understand how they keep screwing up something so simple.

Edit: I am also aware that I can use other DNS servers, that is not the point.

my rogers internet keeps cutting out every 15 mins, they won't help me, anyone else experiencing this?

And why wouldn't you point your DNS somewhere else like OpenDNS or Google? They are faster and more secure than Rogers anyways.

Been using Google DNS servers for a long time. I had family call me the other day for the rogers outage and I knew right away it was DNS. Switch every chance you get.

On the plus side, cable internet service is IMO unbeatable performance for most consumers so I'll happily use rogers resellers and just skip their DNS for something more reliable.
