I got my bike ready for the season, I have all my gear debugged, and now I'm itching to go for a long ride. :cool: Has anyone been around Huntsville or Parry Sound yet? How are the side roads up there? I am fully expecting lots of sand, but I hope the salt washed off the roads.

there was still snow there last weekend. i can get you more info this weekend, i have family heading up...but ide say youve got a few weeks at best till you should be up there on 2 wheels.

Whiteouts south of Gravehurst last night. They may still be applying salt to roads, it will be a while before it's washed off.
 
Thanks for the replies, I was hoping I could get a ride in soon. I guess I will have to wait a while, and just hit the Forks maybe? :)

The thing is I love riding, but I hate riding in the city. Both my minor accidents were in the city because of bad drivers. And as if I needed yet another reason, my neighbour was t-boned by a cabbie on his motorcycle back in December. He spent the next three months in the hospital, and almost lost his right leg.

So almost all my riding is far, far up north.
 
Even Barrie is still a mess. I dared out for a 10min womp last Friday and couldn't find one clean road around me.

i lived in barrie for about 5 years, and the thing i likes best was the whole time i was there i only saw 2 collisions with the exception of out of towners on hwy 400...ya people get their cars stuck in snow banks every 10 min, but thats a different story.

im waiting on a few things to pan out so i can move back.
