As of 3pm today (April 8th 2013) The West half to Terra Nova is very very sandy. From Terra Nova East to Airport is kinda sandy.

Just an fyi to anyone who's curious. I'm probably going to avoid it on the bike for a bit.

Oh ok. When I hear Terra Nova I think of the tv show lol. Didn't know there was one in ON

Same is true for Burlington backroads: Appleby, Tremaine, SR1 to SR5...

Rattlesnake Point hill and hairpin are also sandy and wet.

Ya best to avoid that road until a few good rains , same every year .......great rd when clean though :)

If the weather forecast holds true there will be more than just sand covering River Road after Thursday.

Big rain and thunderstorm two nights in a row now.....this should clean up some of our roads....

Took a run along River Road on Tuesday afternoon (23rd) and it was pretty good. Only a few locations with some sand/stones; actually better than many times I have ridden through there in the summer.

Nice!!

Maybe the rain today will help clear it further.

EDIT: Just rode it today. was in good shape. Thanks for the heads up Malks. (and did I see you on River Road Friday around 2pm?)

Rode it today.

Good shape with the exception of a couple sand piles mid-corner on the west end.

If it was before 2 on Friday afternoon, I was likely west of Prince of Wales on my way up to Collingwood. If it was closer to 3 it would have been on the eastern part as I was headed back to Orangeville. Was that you eastbound with the GoPro on your helmet?
