Never heard of him till today too, never watched the wire either.

The Wire is a strangely excellent show. When I watched the first episode or two I wasn't sure if I could get into it and the thug story line, but I gave it a chance and it's easily one of my favourite all time shows. I found so much depth to that show and I usually don't watch shows that cover that topic/genre.
Never knew he danced for Technotronic! That's quite the career arc!

To be fair - while I recognized him from TV, I never knew his name was Michael either.
Turns out he even had a son!

The star of 'The Wire', actor Michael K. Williams, has been found dead in his Brooklyn apartment. The 54-year-old he was found in his apartment on Monday afternoon.
I just checked and it isn't. It's an HBO show so it would have to be directly streamed from HBO or from some other streaming service that broadcasts it like Crave and others. I remember when the Covid lockdown first hit, Crave was offering a month of free service, so we joined up and binged watch the HBO shows for the month.
For many years I didn’t have any TV, so when good shows came along I would watch them off some streaming website called Couchtuner, but I’m not sure if that or similar websites still exist.
