He was admitted to hospital three weeks ago with Covid. Not sure if the death was directly related but being almost 90 and catching covid is not good for you.

Unfortunately he had heart disease, smoked heavily for many years, and was 87. Bunch of pre-existing conditions that don't pair well with Covid.
