Summer is almost here, just curious what do u guys do with ur jackets in the summer when u go let say for instance to the eaton centre. Helmet and gloves I can understand can be left wit the bike.

I believe the verdict of last year's thread like this was bicycle cable lock through the sleeves. Make sure you don't leave anything important in the pockets.

I just toss it out and buy a new one while I'm shopping.

...

OK, no, since I have something ridiculous like 130L of storage on my bike, I tend to lock my gear up in my sidebags.

you can get a bike lock and thread it with your jacket to the bike.

or go to coat check.

or just not wear a jacket

i know it's not called a helmet check, but do coat checks take helmets as well? anyone tried?

Do not leave stuff on your bike, some ****** will jack it.

Those cable locks are insanely easy to cut. Someone could walk up and take the stuff within 2 seconds.

Well bicycle locks seemed like a good idea but as u guys posted it could be easily cut, can't afford a jacket every time one gets stolen. Thanks for all the input, from all the experienced riders.

or urinate on it, or kick it, or vandalize it...

Heard someone found his helmet filled with piss.

I don't know what kind of jackass would do such a thing but I vote we cut off their wang if ever caught in the act.

Just take it with you. You paid enough for it.
For those who don’t ride with a jacket, one day you will wish you did. I flinch every time I see those t-shirt, shorts and sandals riders.

.

I seem to recall a post about this, last year? I think it was outside a bar?

I think taking it with you or hard cases are likely the only firm options.

I know that TO many sport bikes are at risk to be poached, but are you almost guaranteed to to lose your jacket if it is locked as some suggest if it isn't your bike they are after?
