Riding A New Bike Home???

im looking to purchase my first street legal bike.
I currently own a crf450r for the dirt,
im going to see a suzuki drz400 tommorow...
I was curious, IF I were to purchase a bike, what would I need to be able to ride it home..?
I have my m1 lisence, upgrading to m2 in two weeks.
