Police continue to investigate a serious collision in Brampton involving a minivan and a motorcycle while one of the crash victims remains in hospital in serious, but stable condition.
Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to the intersection of Mayfield and Stonegate roads, near Kennedy Road, around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after a Kawasaki motorbike collided with a Dodge Caravan as the van was attempting to make a left turn onto Stonegate Road.
The 37-year-old motorcyclist from Brampton was thrown off his bike and taken to Sunnybrook hospital. The 78-year-old driver of the van was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the OPP’s Caledon detachment at (905) 584-2241.
The rider is my cousin from Brampton. He is in stable but critical condition at Sunnybrook. No head injuries but a lot of body injury, I will list due to respect the family privacy.. He is expected to recover but it will be a long road to recovery for him as he has many broken bones. He is lucky to be alive. If anyone on this forum knows anything please contact the OPP as we do not know what happened. Thanks in advance
The rider is a good friend of mine. He's was in rough shape yesterday but I'm glad to report he's in stable condition. He's a strong cookie and I'm sure he'll make a full recovery. Again, thanks to everyone and please keep him in your prayers tonight.
I'll keep everyone posted. He's not on this forum but I'll get him to chime in once he's up to the task.
