Rider down - Havendale Ave (between Kennedy & Midland)

Rider down on a residential street in Scarborough, between Kennedy and Midland. Police tape was up, multiple police cars, ambulances. My girlfriend lives in the area and we were coming back from a ride. We rode up, couldn't see much due to it being dark already - an officer approached us and asked if we knew the motorcycle rider. We didn't, and the officer told us "I ride too. If I were you, I'd turn around and go the other way. You don't want to see this."

We returned to the house, and departed in a car a few minutes later. By then the victim's family had arrived on the scene and the cries of anguish shrieked through the neighborhood. I've never heard someone in that much pain.

My girlfriend just found out she knew the rider... he rode a ZX6R...his name was anthony

Very sad, RIP. Are there any details? As per CP24 link it was on a residential street. You wouldn't think that something like this could happen on a residential street, but it did.

Just saw this on the news. RIP rider. From the footage on tv it looked like there was a speed bump there but not clear.

What colour was the bike? Was he filipino?

Sorry for the questions but my close friend rides a ZX6R and he lives not far from there and he has the same name.

Weird. Why don't you just call your 'close friend' and check on him??

RIP to the rider.

According to a quick interview with a police officer, he was 27 years old and struck a fence and then a tree!?
Not really sure how all that can happen but really sad nonetheless.

Just want to apologize for my reaction earlier with asking to many questions or not stating that i tried calling my friend first. I was not thinking straight enough to put all my thoughts in one post.

Thanks everyone who posted info about this. My condolences to family of the fallen, RIP Anthony.

Anthony was my best friend. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever known. He wasn't the type to ride irresponsibly so I have no clue what happened. Im going to miss you terribly brother. I love you

RIP
