Rider down at Hwy 27 and Major Mackenzie

Sun. Sept 9, at about 4 pm. I rode by and all the emergency vehicles were there. it looked like they were getting him onto the stretcher. I think it was a GSXR on its side in the northbound lanes just above the intersection and a black bike with green Monster logo on it (kawi?) was parked in the median.
I didn't stop to gawk and figured the black bike was a fellow rider.

That was me on the black kawi. It was a GSXR 600. I wasnt riding with him, I was heading south. He was coming north as an old guy cut right infront of him, he had to brake pretty damn hard. He ended up endowing into the back of the car, smashed the rear window and then landed on the ground. He was having trouble breathing as I got to him. He was somewhat on his side/chest. I repositioned him and waited for ems to arrive. It was pretty bad, but im sure he'll pull through.

Oh wow! I just rode through that intersection not more than 15mins or so earlier going south.

What a coincidence.. I was returning from the group ride to Huntsville, and was riding south past the scene as they were putting the rider onto the stretcher. I wasn't able to pull over due to cops directing traffic on my side, and especially due to other driver's all rubber necking, didn;t want to get hit by distracted drivers.

Yes, the car he rode into had a smashed rear window, a Matrix/Vibe.

The rider looked like he was in a lotta pain, but I noticed the green ninja with green stripes on the wheels and guessed it belonged to STaylorT from past rides..

Anyways I hope he's alright.

I should have tried to figure out what hospital they took him to.
 
Rider was at the hospital. No word on injuries. Don't know how to get in touch with him either.

I know the guy who went down. He was just released from Sunnybrook this past weekend. No brain or spinal injuries thank goodness. Several broken bones and internal injuries. Family is grateful to you for stopping and would like to thank you personally for what you did for their son. I did not want to reply to this post until I had an update on his condition for you. But he started walking again last week and he is home now. His dad asked that I contact you. I've sent you a private message with my contact info.
