Ordered:
RF-1200 Perl Grey Metallic (it’s better in real life - very reflective and metallic) from FC-Moto.

RF-1400 seems to have at least four graphic versions currently that I'd be happy with. Accolade, Arcana, Fortress TC-6, Mural. Shoei graphics are a miss for me most of the time. Accolade is technically gray, just has a little extra style

Nah, I saw all graphics at GP Bikes, don’t feel cool enough to shell out 1K…

$1K?!

Thought they haven’t made the 1200 for a bit. What’s the build date on the 1200? Worth less imo if it’s already 3yrs old per se.

Oh right, tax. OK that's slightly less bad.

RF-1200 for half the price is a different story, would probably go with that lol

Yeah, Canadian prices - Shoei RF-1400 graphic at GPBikes is $899+tax..

NXR in Europe, FC-Moto has is for $460CAD, they said 2019 stock and stored properly so good to go…

I’ve never ordered from FC Moto - but am considering it as their prices are great. I think they ship via DHL which I’ve had good luck with when it comes to duties and taxes.

Without derailing your thread too much - what has your experience been?

Fully understand that returns are cost prohibitive.

I know you said no to the GT-Air2 due to weight, but I really like this finish for my GT-Air2 which only has a light graphic. Not sure if they have it for the RF series helmets.

I am back to riding after a break and “need” too many things to be updated/replaced so trying to save where i can.

As per FC-Moto - this winter I’ve had 3 orders and so far experience was excellent - purchasing/notifications/updates/shipping - no issues. They ship using DHL but on Canadian side it passed to CAnada post - and it just got dropped packages at my door (2-3weeks total delivery time - not too bad) - so far no any additional charges/fees/taxes. I’ve heard some ppl got taxes charges - still total cost would still be a deal.
And yes, returns would be nightmare I imagine - the reason I am not buying one piece suite from them… Helmet is easier as it would be my 3rd shoei of the same model line…

I don't see any RF-1200 (or RF-1400 for that matter) helmets on the FC-Moto site. Am I missing something?

Alex, check date codes on the RF1200 if you go that route, if you ever decide to go track or race it's a 5-7 year expiration for helmets.

FWIW, Royal in Whitby has a RF1400 in matte blue out of box for $550.

Jay, thanks for bringing this interesting point. Didn’t realize they check make-date on helmets at track days, I’d understand for racing..
