WOW! talk about a buzzkill

sometimes a buzzkill serves as a good reminder to be careful out there.

thanks for posting the video, i never realized that motorcycles were dangerous...

^^^I stopped visiting this board for a while due to the flaming and cynicism^^^......I guess some things don't change. I just started to look again due to a trackday I attended....and started looking around at the posts again.

Thanks for the video. A good reminder how fast it can go wrong. Ride like you're invisible.

I'll now go put on my flame retardant suit for the inevitable WTF comments.....

Don't need to. I know what it means. Why don't you google 'belittle". In fact, I'll save you the time. Here it is:

be·lit·tle(b

l) tr.v. be·lit·tled, be·lit·tling, be·lit·tles 1. To represent or speak of as contemptibly small or unimportant; disparage: a person who belittled our efforts to do the job right.

Not looking to start a anything here. Just tired of the belittling, attacks, sarcasm, flaming - call it what you will. The post was a good PSA. Nothing wrong in reminding that riding a bike IS dangerous compared to other modes of transport. Maybe if you ride every day and have done countless trackdays you don't need the remider - but what's the harm? meh - <<shrug>>>

Great vid. I really hate when I get that song stuck in my head while I'm ridding.

Not a bad video, I suppose. For those who got this far down and didn't watch it, it's a montage of all the major 'bad bike accident' videos from the last five or six years. I'm glad that I recognize many that weren't fatal.

It's always a question worth re-visiting: what separates me from all the motorcyclists that have fatally crashed. Skill? Attentiveness? Fate? Luck? Time?

i'm happy for you.

it's a vid i enjoy watching once in awhile, and just wanted to share.

if you don't like it, just move along...

AND im sick of people "reminding" me that motorcycles are dangerous. Also sensitive people are a lil annoying.
You are on a public forum where you get to post your opinions as well as i do. I hate to break the bad news to you, but a lot of times your views and opinions wont be the same as others. If you cant deal with this it might be time to turn off the computer and do something else...

Google "one trick pony"

Yeah - right on. Same old same old....predictable comments. Or is that me?

Dohhh - I can handle dissenting opinions. In fact, I don't mind it at all. I just don't see any need to flame, be cynical, sarcastic, belittle (all interchabgeable) others for it if you don't like what you see read or hear. Upset that you're being reminded that bikes can be dangerous? What do you do when you see all the warning labels on consumer products? You must have a very hard time seeing signs to not smoke while you fuel your bike or car or the graphic reminders of smoking or spilling draino on exposed skin. Must drive you crazy - constant reminders of very obvious dangers. Being reminded about danger is all over the place, even if you are aware of the danger. What about the OPP / OPG reminder commercial to not be around hydro electric dams and spillways? I'd just get used to it and not get bent out of shape.

No need for me to turn off my computer. This isn't nearly upsetting enough. Finding that a family member has attempted suicide, or that an immediate family member has a medical diagnosis of 30 days max to live etc... is upsetting. I guess it's all persepctive of what your life experiences are and what is worth getting upset over. I just wish that a repost of dangers of a motorbike was upsetting. It's not.

Meh - shrug. Moving on.
