Hey guys.. does anyone know how to request disclosure... I live in scarborough and have a speeding ticket court date coming up in mississauga in april and need to request disclosure.. i tried looking online if i can email/fax/send a letter to request it but havent found anything yet...

anyone done it before or know where to get the info?

will appreciate your help

I had to go into the court house to request this.

I have and I did it in person. Make sure to have two copies of your request (one for yourself, perferably a photocopy of the original with signature).

The court is on Burhamthorpe. It took minutes to fill in their form and hand it in.

Beware of their forms. In Toronto it's along the lines of "give me what you think I need". Plus, they started demanding for the robbery victim to show up in court to pick it up.

I included my own disclosure request along with their form. I believe you CAN fax it to them but it may be harder to prove you did if they never got aroud to getting it to you, so I would go in person or have someone else deliver it on your behalf who may live in that area.

I got my disclosure by registered mail within a couple weeks.

Faxing is easier to prove as the receipt page contains the fax number you dialed, a time stamp and a reduced 1st page of the fax. That's why I like it so much, other than avoiding the 30min drive, 40min cruise for a a parking spot and $10 in gas and parking fees

You can also email it, you call them and they ask for you email and then they send you a generic one, but you can send your own like i did.
