Register with no safety?

I was wondering if i can register a motorcycle with no safety... I do not want to plate it yet, just want to get it registered in my name. Also how long after buying the bike can i wait to register it in my name?

Just be careful doing this since you cannot get a temp plate for an "unfit" vehicle. Basically when it comes time to get a safety you will have to have it towed, delivered or pay for someone to come to you.

but yes, just register it unfit, and worry about it next season
