ya. that sounds like a possible solution.Fighting it might be next to impossible, depending on the pictures taken. I think they have more evidence than the photos if it comes to a trial.
I bet if they claimed poverty and offered to pay as little as $25 a month (13 months) it would be accepted.
Edit: Incorrect statementOk. I see...
What's about insurance? If the driver is not identified would the insurance rate grow for the car owner (her)?
That's my only concern...
This is correct - I spoke to Red Line and this is exactly what they told methe red light camera ticket does not affect neither your insurance nor your driving abstract; it's the equivalent of a parking ticket or a 407ETR bill, they will ultimately affect your license plate sticker renewal
even if you identified yourself as the driver during the trial, that still does not have any effect
her only choice is to appear at trial: the prosecutor will most likely suggest 50% off, or just make it your responsibility to beg for a reduction
she can get a reduced fine and request extra time to pay; she can even go as far as request to pay in instalments over a ______ period

Be careful. If the driver is identified, there could be points attached to the ticket. Easier to just get the driver at the time to pay it rather than naming them or telling them to fight it.
Why do people always bring up points? As far as I'm aware the points don't mean squat unless you've got a ton of them in which case you probably shouldn't be driving anyway. Insurance only cares about charges and at-fault claims. Correct me if I'm wrong....

That didn't teach me anything new. Yeah, you can lose your license if you get too many. But who actually gets 15 points? You would have to basically be intentionally causing accidents to get that high.

Yeah if they get stopped by the cop for a red light though its another story.Nah... :sad8:
I just said them to pay the ticket and be cateful next time. As far as that does nt affect insurance rate. Thanks everybody for discussion!
