red diplo plates?

Never seen a diplomatic plate on a Motorcycle and given the number of diplomats in Ottawa I assume if they existed I'd have seen one by now.

I guess that's a good thing, given the way most diplomats drive in Ottawa it would be pretty scary to seem them riding a bike.
 
It'd be nice to have one to avoid getting pulled over.
 
If you were a diplomat would you even need plates? You can't be charged with anything, just expelled.
 
My unerstanding is that diplomatic plated vehicles can still be pulled over and reprimanded, just not arrested or otherwise detained.

I remember a cocky kid from highscool with a brand new pickup with red plates.
His dad was some official from Sweeden or Switzerland or something.
He was a bit of a jerk, but paid for his freinds party supplies.

When I was making plates I got a black one to print once, only once, had white letters so I had to change my "foiling" machine from blue to white (the letters on your license plate are actually a blue vinyl film that's heated up and the plate is rolled underneath, it peels away and only the raised letters keep the blue, unless there is oil on the plate from the stamping machine, then you get white spots in the letters and we'd have to remake the plate from scratch), white "ontario" at the top and white X's in the corners (like where you would put the sticker). DXXXXX plate number and was spaced way to the right like when we normally did a graphic edition plate but there was no graphic/logo. The background sticker was a neat almost carbon fiber type look. Asked the guard what they were for and he said "diplomat". Someone actually physically came into the jail and picked it up. Never seen another one in the 10's of thousands of plates I made, and nobody ever picked up any other plate in person, so I'd say they are pretty rare :)
