Yes Griff the improper helmet charge is related to having the GoPro attached. But that is the least of his charges, and will likely be tossed while he is getting his required rectal exam from the crown and the judge.
There is no info on an insurance charge, because they may still be investigating if he had "valid" insurance. he says he had non matching BC plates that were seized, after his one pursuit, so they will check each province to ensure, he didn't have coverage somewhere. They have lots of time, still to lay the charge.
But yes given he was already riding with a suspended DL, there is little doubt he is likely back on the road while awaiting court date. But it is also highly probable that officers will be outside on his court date to see if he drives to court. He is now a "marked" man.
