Record of motorcyle accident, getting new car insurance quote. Do I inform?

My question is pretty much, does a motorcycle accident on your record affect your car insurance quotes?

Do insurance companies see a motorcycle accident in your records and adjust your car insurance accordingly like a car accident?

Getting quotes online for a car and they don't list motorcycle accident as a claim..

It's one licence. Does it say "car accident" or "accident" or "Motor Vehicle Accident"?

Getting quotes online for a car and they don't list motorcycle accident as a claim..

Regardless if they do ask you car or motorcycle accidents, when you sign a new policy, the claim will be listed there as it is attached to your license.

My ticket and at fault accident (and amount which was claimed for) was shown on my motorcycle policy even though both incidents happened in the car.

The only insurance company that did not care for my car accident was Jevco which is now Intact. Not sure if they operate in the same way after the move over though.

Not completely true, I have used kanetix.ca in the past for my car insurance and the quotes remained the same when I wanted to sign up for one.

Also, I know that car accidents do matter when it comes to motorcycle insurance..but I'm asking the opposite.

When it comes to calculating insurance quotes WITH an at fault accident on your record, its extremely inaccurate and most of the times it tells you to call for assistance.

It used to be like that and now their new and improved site actually asks specifically what the claim was and will calculate based on that. I was kinda surprised..

Good that they fixed that up to be more accurate, but at the same time, the best way really is to call and get a quote. Probably would be just as fast as filling out all those fields as well as more accurate quotes.

Yep, my just told me not to bother as I'd be looking at around $600+/month
