Recommended Insurance agent/broker

Hey I am 21 and possibly going to get my first motorcycle this fall when they go on sale. I will probably get a CBR250 and will store it for the winter. I know insurance will be high for me so does can anyone recommend an insurance agent or broker that they have dealt with in the past. I am looking for a decent rate, a online TD quote had me at $4500 a year. I am 21, currently have m1, and m2 hopefully in September. clean driving record no tickets.

You wont find it any cheaper for your first year. I got $4000 quotes last year. If you can I strongly suggest you wait one FULL year (from day of m1 received) before getting a bike as insurance rate will be so much lower. I made the mistake of buying the bike before thinking about insurance.

If you really cant wait 1 year then call TD, they will give you a plan till the end of February. However, if you do this then you pretty much screw yourself because come renewal time you will still get quotes of ~$4500. The only thing you can do then is wait 5 months until July (when you got your m1) before getting insured again at a 'decent' rate.

So as you can see its worth it to wait a year before buying.

Aww man Thats exactly what I was hoping wouldn't happen. I guess i should wait a year, save some money up as well. Also, do i need to wait 1 year from the day, m1 was received, or is it M2? I heard that if you wait a year after you get your M2 than insurance is dramatically less.

if you had your G1 - G for 5 years, consider state farm. i know an agent in etobicoke thatll do the job for you.

Ok nice, ya I got my g1 when I was 16, and i got my full G this summer. Is state farm good, I heard they only really look at how much cc's your bike is and driver experience. How much do you pay for a year, with your bike?

Motorcycle? I've formally had my m1 for a couple days, and this is the first couple of days of insurance. However I've written and passed my m1 several times in the past so that I could ride my buds gs500.

If your talking about g license, I've been licensed since a day after my bday.
