Recommendations for a cool (as in temperature) summer riding jacket.

Considering how short of a summer we have, and hot and humid it can get here for that short time, I need to find a summer riding jacket so I won't be prevented from riding.

During the more moderate temperatures down to cold weather I wear a leather jacket, but even with the liner removed and the vents open it is still too hot in the middle of the summer.

I am looking for something that is completely mesh with excellent ventilation, but has UV protection so I don't get burnt through it and padded parts to protect me in a crash, and preferably not in black -- any recommendations?

Anyone selling a size large?

I have a hi vis joe rocket alter ego 11.0 3 in 1 that unzips to mesh I wore it 4 times at the end of 2013. Asking 150 obo it's 2xl. Here is an example of what it looks like.

I had good results in worst heat waves with a Joe Rocket Phoenix in silver. Protected me well in a crash, too.

I have a joe rocket perforated leather jacket...supermoto style and its fantastic!! I dont get hot even in the hottest temps. Google that ish!

I use the Alpinestars TGP plus air full mesh jacket in white. Great hot weather jacket with good protection. Has CE armour in elbows , shoulders plus chest pads. I purchased the Alpinestars Bionic back protector seperate , as an insert protector.

I have a Joe Rocket Alter Ego and they are great. The mesh layer keeps the padding and protect while I can stay cool during those extremely hot days. I'm sure you can find some used ones from last year.

Keep in mind that this jacket isn't water proof at all. I found this out personally... So keep your phone in a plastic bag while riding to keep it dry.

I wear the Performance Under Gear suit they sell at Rider's Choice. A lot of people say that VnM (site vendor) is a better product but I have no input on that since I've never tried it. The PUG stuff does the job well and the lower price is a bonus.

Personally I have some higher end shirts and even arm warmers if necessary from mountain biking. Nike makes some. Under Armour etc. Great for a chilly ride.
