So I got a call from allstate today and they tell me that they can no longer insure my R1. I bought the bike a little over a month ago and they priced me out on it and also took on 2 vehicles and my home insurance. All of a sudden they decide that they can't insure my 2004 R1 and I'm stuck having to probably pay a fortune elsewhere.

Can someone confirm that allstate won't insure Supersport anymore ?? I see others on here talking about being with allstate.

Please help me on this issue

I'm still insured with them.
Tell them you'll take all of your other stuff somewhere else

I've heard of places banning/blacklisting bikes, but it should affect everyone insured with them (upon renewal) and potentially other companies as well. Arguably one of the many reasons I decided against a SS bike for the road, especially here in Ontario.

Yikes.. Any reason given for the cancellation? Also, when does the cancellation go into effect?

What a royal PITA... BTW I figured Allstate were a bunch of retards when they wouldn't insure my KTM 690 Enduro because it's a "race bike" but yet they would insure a BMW S1000R. I guess that has changed...

I think I mentioned this to you before, but my KTM is insured by them without issue. Hopefully my FZ1 stays in their good graces too.

Just signed my renewed in may and I got the news this week on Monday. Women calls me and says I have bad news.....So I spoke with a different allstate yesterday and I guess it's the underwriter that red flags the SS bikes. But apparantly the broker can file something and make a case out of it with them and basically fight for them to keep the bike insured. On my file it looks like they didn't do sh*t to keep the bike on. Perfect record 3 cars insured a bike and my home and the idiots basically tell me to take my business elsewhere and don't care if they have my money or not. This is the Allstate in pickering. Worst part is I actually bought this bike over the winter after I called and confirmed and got my rate with them. I put it on my insurance and now 3 weeks after my renewel they say sorry we can't insure it now. I knew $ 64 bucks a month was too good to be true

May want to give Grant Redfern a call, that's who I use and was recommended from this forum.

Kinda crappy you need to even *think* about your FZ1 being in their good graces. Gotta love Ontario insurance.......

Just spoke to my friend who has his 05 R1 insured with Allstate, no issues.
Grant is his agent.

Waiting for my FZ09 to get blacklisted any day now. I've meet a few people who bought it as their first ride because of the price. Accident % about to skyrocket on that bike this year.

Having owned an FZ-09.... I can't believe people would buy that as a first bike. CRAAAAZYTOWN. Pretty nuts around town. Although I didn't have the new fueling/throttle map and mine was jerky.

I can't stand these idiots working in the offices. Called again to blast them and ask why other people to seem to be able to insure their sport bikes and I can't . They don't seem to be able to give me any reason other then your type of bike doesn't qualify WTF ?

Giving you coverage for one month, then discontinuing it is incredibly deceitful. They could have used that to get all your insurance. Also this has caused you a lot of financial distress because now you need to shuffle all your insurance around again! (giving you ideas on what to say) Don't bother calling your agency office... you won't get anywhere.

Here try this... call Ombudsman.

I still have the old mapping and while not perfect I've come to realize the bike is all about near perfect throttle control on the riders end. I got mine all figured out and it rides super nice now. Although I am going to save up for some better suspension. If you weight over 220lbs it's a must IMO
