Rear wheel alignment

Hey I was wondering if when making a turn at speed the bike kicks up (wants to come out of the lean) if that could be caused by the misalignment of the rear tire. I ask this because recently I noticed that my chain was loose so I opened my service manual and followed the steps to correct it. At the same time i made sure to follow the steps to ensure that the rear wheel was aligned properly. However I have heard that the device on the bike is not very accurate. I was wondering if my experience problem (bike wants to come out of lean during a turn at speed) could be caused by a mis-aligned rear wheel.

Also if it is possible/likely to be causing the issue how would I go about aligning the rear wheel to without the on board one (notches on he swingarm)?

Thanks

Its a 250 ninja I think i figured it out though. I used the string method (still confuses me exactly what I am supposed to be looking for) then i just counted the threads on the adjuster blocks to make sure. Yeah when I started this thread I didn't realize that the adjuster bolts would be the same length. I kinda assumed that the bolts themselves could have been different lengths. That is really quite convenient XD.

Thanks for the help though ill look into that caliper though it sure beats counting threads with a spatula.

String method: Use a piece of string measure from rear axle to swingarm pivot. should be the same on both sides.

Tire pressure was within spec 28 psi in the front and 32 psi in the rear as per the service manual

Regarding the string method I see so that is what the reference point is. The guide I was using seemed to state that the front wheel should be the reference. When I went to do it I realized that it didn't really work.

Thanks a bunch
