Rear shock issues?

ok i searched the threads with no luck.......i have an 06 HondaCBR600F4i and its been lowered from past owners. ive brought it to honda 2 times now to have it raised back as close as possible to stock height on its lowering kit as im 6'1 185lbs and looked like a retard on..b4 i brought it in for the 2nd time it felt stiff but comfortable and didnt compress too much. I had it out for carabana weekend and rode all day with n issues as i liked what Honda did for the 2nd time, 2day was the 1st day since and as soon as i hit the 401 my knees were killing me and i felt like my heals were touchin my a55 cheeks. Anyways when i parked and took a look it looked fine and i thought maybe it was just me but my ride home after work it felt even worse and when i got home i reached around and it felt lower now then it did b4 i had it raised and when i bounce on it it goes up and down alot, like 2/3 inches easy..........im used to civics and know thats a replacement issue but new with bikes.................do i need to replace it or what? thanx everybody and the faster the answer means the faster i fix it and get back on the road.................ps i felt like i was all over the 401 and even doin 100km was maken me nervous

There is no adjustment for ride hieght on the shock. Some lowering kits use adjustable dogbones to achieve the desired hieght. If yours is one of those it will be a turnbuckle style with two lock nuts holding the slide when set. The longer the dogbone the lower the bike.
adjusting the hieght this way effects the rate at which the shock is engaged and big swings will without doubt effect the way it feels.

Get someone who knows what they are doing, to take a look at the bike.

Ride height adjustments don't just miraculously change themselves, unless someone forgot to tighten something up ... which needs to be checked.

Maybe the rear shock is pooched, independently of whatever was done to the ride height of the bike.

Or maybe you have a tire pressure problem.

Hey thanx for the reply..I know raising and lowering has no effect on the shock etc and tires are good I check all the time, I'm gunna bring it in to a shop I just wanna see what you guys say 1st..my concern is how much it compresses when I sit on it, I'm away for a week so I'd like to find out if it is the shock or what

Regardless of the height of the bike, the distance from the foot pegs to the seat remains the same when dog-bone links are changed.
How were your heels touchin your *** cheeks?

This is confusing.

Why not just obtain the stock parts and put it back to the way it came from the factory, unless I misunderstood and this is what Honda has already done but it sounded like they tried to put as close to stock height with what they had to work with. I am pretty sure you could find the parts needed fairly cheaply if you hunt around on ebay or some of the US forums or even on here. I imagine for the front the forks were just raised in the triples which has probably been rectified already and the back was likely different dog bones as mentioned above which should be fairly simple to swap out for OEM units. Seems like the best course of action to me and then see how it feels and go from there. If the OEM shock turns out to be pooched it will give you a good excuse to upgrade it to something better.

I'm sure you guys can tell I'm new to all this....had her checked out and the guy said cuz I changed my tire pressure it adjusted height just that much to bother me...I have aftermarket pegs on the bike and apparently took an inch off the height, he said just weld a plate on to lower the whole peg system and also look into getting a stiffer spring so it doesn't go down so far when I sit on it....what do you guys think? I'm 6.1 so any ideas to gain more leg room is appreciated without going back to stock cuz everything right down to the seat is custom on my bike....thanx
