They've been making air line engines for decades and working on this high priced private line for over a decade. It's built by the Japanese for the Japanese domestic market that started selling globally within last few years. It's smaller and significantly cheaper than say a G6. Literally the civic of the private jet world at like 1/15th the cost. lol

no. The "innovation" is a few tweeks to the standard jet engine design which is suppose to provide better efficiency and lower emissions.

well they had to wait a long time to get into the airplane business because that little inconvenient strategic move called WW11 left then with a signed peace treaty that kept them out of the airplane business for a very long time. Sort of like BMW making planes, then not making planes.
