So I noticed recently that when I break hard with the front I hear a click when the bike stops. My friend said it's probably head bearing and makes sense with the way it feels. But I was told that mechanics charge alot due to time. What should I be expecting price wise? Or any suggestions? Thanks I'm off contract for the summer so looking for low costs

I can do that for you. I put in a all balls set into my SRAD / 636 swap and i had to adjust it after 500kms, and it was great after.

I can do that for cheap as well.....bearing is about $40/cost ....

The shop i'd recommend if your wanting to go that route would be stunters inc, they prob have done 100's of these bearing jobs, but they'll charge you shop hour rates...

Are you sure it's not just lose and needs to be tightened?

Honda uses ball style. Just did a set yesturday it could also be fork bushings, pad noise, something loose elsewhere on the bike.......is there any rough feeling while moving the bars back and forth?

Sometimes they just need to be tightened down JP636 did my bike last year still feels brand new

I didn't notice any rough feeling while moving?

I just know when I break quickly I notice as soon as the bike stops it feels like a "click-clack" on the front end. Maybe it just needs tightening. I will take a look and let you know.
