I had a rate increase with Echelon this year too. When I inquired I was told that they just 'adjusted' their rates. I shopped around and really couldn't find anything better. I also have a clean abstract.

Perhaps AB rates were decreased in April 2011 in anticipation of an expected reduction in Accident Benefits claims due to the Auto AB Reform, but when the AB claims amounts didn't decrease as a result of the reform, the company had to increase rates again. Just one of many possibilities.
