This guy was on top on my works building yesterday.
Very rare to see these guys and they almost made it on the endangered species list a few years back.
Had a wingspan of close to 5 feet.
A baby was also spotted in the area but I didn't see it.
Nice to see these beautiful animals making there way back :).

Wow, nice shots.

Pretty amazing to see a Snowy Owl, especially this far south.

They usually roam away from their Arctic habitat when food is scarce. The Snowy Owls eat about 1200 lemmings a year.

Cool. I had an Owl sitting in a tree right in front of me (10 yards) one of the days I was out hunting. I didn't even notice it until it took off, and scared the **** out of me. No idea what kind it was but that thing was huge.

Awe!!!!! Soooo cute :d

Beautiful

Where do u live & work Claudio?
You have wolves & cayotes in your backyard and rare animals at your workplace?
Let me guess you have a pet bear in your home :)

Each year there are a few that hang around Pearson. The airfield has pretty good eating, I saw the first snowy already about a week and a half ago at work.

Sad news, I have heard that it has been seen at the side of the road hit by a car on 10th line.
I drove by and did see something white on the road that looked like it, but couldn't be sure.
I wanted to stop but to much traffic moving at 80+ kph.
That means that the baby owl is doomed also.
People suck.

No wolves lol, lots of coyotes and there have been bears at the city dump. Last year there was a bear running up Essa road during morning rush hour haha.

Im glad the Snowy Owl is making a comeback. So tasty.

A little gamier the American Bald Eagle. But not as chewy as Dodo.

I think I should pick up hunting a bit sooner, because I have no idea what they taste like :)
