Rad fluid leaking

Just rode bike downtown and when I parked it, notice rad fluid leaking from the overflow pipes. What could cause this?

If you're talking about the overflow tube coming from the overflow tank, then check the level on the overflow. If there's too much fluid in the system, then it will drain out of that overflow tank.

If it's coming from a different tube, then you'll need to be more specific.

Overflow pipe = dont worry, maybe too much fluid in the system, it will level out

I don't think it's too much fluid in the system... I think it's something else.. But no heat issues.. 03 r6.. There are three tubes sticking out and 1 of them leaked.

Oh heat caused pressure which in return caused it to ooze out?

OK... short version of how the cooling system works. You have your closed cooling system with the radiator and the engine. Attached to the top of the radiator is a hose that leads to the overflow tank. Since coolant expands and contracts as it respectively heats and cools it requires that overflow to expel and intake coolant as it needs to. A drain tube comes out of the overflow tank in case the whole system has too much liquid and will drip coolant if it needs to.

Your overflow tank has hot and cold marks on it. Do your levels exceed the hot mark? If so, then it's getting rid of fluid that it doesn't need.

If you are losing coolant from a different tube, then that means it's a different problem. Trace that line and let us know what it leads to.

Besides this, if you have a headgasket leak, the coolant can build up pressure and releases it through the overflow. Unlikely though, I'll go with it's damn hot outside. Check the coolant level in the overflow and keep an eye on it.
