Are there any Disadvantages if I use racing air filter for street? Also if I use a track only air filter, do I have to reprogram the ecu?

Can you? Sure.

Should you? Depends on what you mean by a "racing" air filter. There is not really any such thing.

For example, the air filter in my "racing" motorcycle, that really is used for roadracing, is an original-equipment Yamaha air filter for that bike. Reason: there is nothing to be gained by using K&N-type filters (don't believe the marketing hype) and they let in more dirt, which would wear the engine out sooner. There are some cases where the K&N oiled-cotton filter will make less power than with a stock air filter.

As for reprogramming, normally any differences that might exist due to a different type of air filter will be so small as to make no difference.

The air filter is only one of the restrcitions. There are usually also baffles, resonators and other noise and flow contrl devices that impede aiflow you would need toremove to see any benefits. Naturally if youre letting more air in (and youre engine is maching that with extra fuel) then you also need to expel it with a smoother, unrestricted and possibly wider exhaust system. Internal engine work follows.

Just be careful, because some of the things that look "restrictive" actually aren't.

Airboxes are often designed to take advantage of the unsteady airflow inside them to improve the breathing efficiency of the engine. I've seen cases where a smaller carb/throttle body (looks like a "restriction") improves the way the engine runs overall because it improves the way the pulsations charge the cylinder. There can be cases where that "restriction" might cost you 1 horsepower right at the top of the RPM range but adds 10 in the upper midrange. Take one guess which bike is going to get down the track faster.
