Question: Scorpio 2-way alarm sensors

I just got my bike back with the "Scorpio RFID SR-i900" installed. I've turned the shock sensor up to level 5 but it still seems like myself or others can sit on my bike without the alarm going off?

Also when the alarm is "armed" and I've tilted the bike up to standing, the tilt sensor doesn't go off.

Does anyone know if this is a) normal b) anyway to fix these levels?

Sounds normal, I have one - never use it because of it being overly sensitive (that and the remote gobbles batteries)

Mine has a charger. Hmmm..ok...Guess it's really only good to page me if someone runs over it with a dump truck..*facepalm* could've bought an exhaust with that money..sigh

For the price of the repairs? or the price of the alarm?... I think the exhaust on the 650R is pretty nice and sleek looking.

I have the same alarm and mine works fine. Something's definitely wrong with yours! I see 2 possibilities:

1. The alarm itself is defective.
2. The alarm module is installed incorrectly. Very important: please, make sure that the main module is installed as horizontal as possible. Otherwise, yout tilt sensor won't work properly.

You need to lower the sensitivity

Check how they wired the sensors. It could just be they are placed in very poor location or maybe even in the WRONG direction. Instead of tilting the bike try bouncing the front/rear end, and then pivoting the bike (assuming you can do a kickstand spin) if you don't want to open 'er up.

I have a Scorpio alarm but not the 2 way. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I hooked up a switch running from the battery to the unit. I assume the unit also can draw power from the rear flashers because when the switch is off and I signal, all my lights go off and it starts beeping hahaha. The only way to get around it is to turn the switch on and then disable the alarm (i could leave it on too but I've had problems with it draining my battery which is why I installed a switch in the first place).

I have the same alarm and mine works perfect! I hope you don't have the remote on you when you're testing this?

I armed the bike and walked about 20 feet away...had my buddy sit on it, tilt it to standing...all that fun jazz.. I'm gonna call the tech support later...gonna try again tonight after the call.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Sounds like you have it wired wrong, or there is a fault. I know people with several of these alarms and have left them on a bike for over 3 weeks and not drained the battery.

It could still be that the transmitter is too close. Tech support is good though. I emailed and they got back to me pretty quickly.

So I called in and spoke to Jeff. He was great. Said that it's likely the way the system is positioned. Which is why it's not picking up on the tilt. I'll have a look later on tonight when I'm done work, but have a feeling I'll need to bring it back to the shop as the mechanic tucked it away in the back left fairing, vertically. He was trying to keep some trunk space for me...lol.
