Question about Insurance

Wrong area but it's not about bikes.

I have two vehicles that are a total loss and am waiting for state farms low ball settlement offers and another vehicle that is repairable. It was a bad weekend for me. 3 accidents in 3 days and non were my fault.

The repairable vehicle was going to be sold in a few weeks and only has minor damages. They gave me an estimate for just over $1100 but if I am going to repair everything it will cost closer to $2000. Is there a way for me to just take the $1100, not fix it and just sell it for less than I had planned to?

One of the total losses is an enclosed trailer. Is there a way for me to keep the trailer or buy it back from them after I get a settlement for it? I want to use it to store the bike in... the body is still decent only the axle and tongue were damaged badly.

Also do I have any recourse when they low ball be with a settlement offer? Last time I had one I just took what the offered... it was very low. I imagine they will do the same again.

wtf? how did that happen?

You can always negotiate their settlement offer. NEVER take the first one they offer you and make sure you can back up what you think the property is worth (similar things for sale on kijiji, craigslist, ebay, autotrader etc.)

Wednesday - rear ended on 401 - nothing serious
Thursday - someone made a left turn on a green light - totaled my trailer
Friday - someone else made a u-turn on a one way street and turned into me - totaled my van and I spent 2 nights in the hospital

I'm glad I didn't ride last week because Friday would have been the end of me
