Amazon is charging shipping&handling. Any other places that sell the stuff. Looking for a case, anti vibration, mount for triple etc.. thanks.

register on their website first & wait for the discount notification......I get emails on sale after I bought my stuff.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread. But a similar topic with the appropriate crowd.

I used to use a Ram Mount for years. I can't say that I've personally had issues with any camera features. I had an old nexus phone with memory issues after 4 years of daily use that I used on the Ram Mount anytime I went for a ride. When I looked into it, it was a common failure for the phone. And to be honest I'm hard on phones as in dropping them.

The last two phones were work issued so I didn't give a damn if they wore out faster or broke the camera eventually. Neither of them failed. One I dropped and when it landed on a corner, broke the screen. Neither seemed to have any issues with the vibration.

I have a new pixel 6. And in the interest of not killing the camera right away I slip it into my jacket now. I use a Sena 10s. So the only thing I lose out on is the screen for the map. I can still use the guidance audio for navigation.

I thought it would be a large transition but surprisingly it has not been. I have 2 old Garmin units I never use as my cars all have built in nav and Android auto. I was thinking I might use one of the Garmins in the Ram Mount if I really want a visible map maybe on longer day rides where I may take alternate routes in areas far from me I'm not as familiar with. But surprisingly, part of me actually prefers no screen. Just the music, audio and voice commands through Sena and ok Google.

I'd be curious to get your personal experiences for those having ridden with and without screens long enough to have preferences.

I do use my old Garmin with my Ram mount for rides up North. Some issues I face with this set up.
1. When first plugged into the usb port, the garmin thinks its plugged into the computer so an image of PC tower pops up instead of the map. It goes away but sometimes during the ride the PC tower pops back.
2. Cables, cables, cables. The Garmin cable plugs into the USB port cable, The USB port cable plugs into the SAE cable (to the battery). Can't seem to find a Garmin cable that plugs into the SAE cable( skipping the USB cable). Or even better a Garmin cable that plugs straight onto the battery. (skipping the USB port cable and the SAE battery cable.
3. The glue on my USB port lost its stickiness in the heat of summer. might want to velcro it to the bike

The Quadlock Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head looks neat but it's pricey
110 bones , yikes!

It works great if you need to keep your screen on. I find the biggest issue I had prior to the wireless charging head was that the usb cable would get bumped a lot (i have a tank bag too) and the port was getting sloppy. One look at the labor charge to get a new usb port soldered on my phone told me the wireless charging head is cheaper than that.

If you want to charge you phone while riding, go with that. If you are just using the holder as somewhere to put your phone that's not your pocket, then don't even bother with power at all.
