Problems with shifting my gears

OK so I was driving my bike down the ramp into my condo when the door started to close. I braked, and because the ramp was on a slant I dropped it :(( on the left side.

I have sliders and it looked like a couple of scratches on the sliders however now I am unable to put the bike into gear....any gear for that matter. As soon as I do the bike stalls.

So I'm wondering, can someone tell me what could be wrong? Is it an easy fix? Can you recommend a good bike shop in the south etobicoke area?

Thanks,

its your side stand switch, it thinks your side stand is down. by-pass it. and ride over to rosey toes well fix it from there. call ted at 416-241-2523 while you wait and learn about your bike.

I would guess that the side stand switch got damaged, cutting the engine whenever you try to put it in gear because it thinks the stand is down.

T.O. Cycle would count as south Etobicoke, Lakeshore and Brows line, there is also Parker Brothers Powersports at 825 Kipling.

Thank you guys!!

now how would I bypass this switch so I can ride it over?

lol good question??? Call up Ted from Rosey Toes, he would prob talk you through it.

Simple job. You can defeat the switch by closing the circuit (twisting the wires together) but keep in mind you are also defeating the safety switch and depending on how its done may cause a higher cost to do a simple repair. My guess by the sound of it the switch is likely fine just got jarred out of place and needs a simple adjustments. Not knowing what bike we are talking about, most are attached using two bolts. loosen the bolts and there is a little adjustment available. Also look at the stand itself and make sure you didnt bend it in the tipover.
