i found a 2009 kawasaki ninja 250 with right around 5000kms on it , i can get it for $3300 mayb a little less it has been dropped before the guy said his brother was on it going about 15km/h and it went down on its right side he got the body fixed you can only tell that it was dropped due to exhaust being scrapped up
sorry for the long story but im wondering if its a good deal for $3300 dollers or if i should back away since its been dropped?

If there is nothing wrong mechanically with the bike - i.e. frame is not bent, forks are not bent, motor is running without any problems, then buy the bike. If you are unsure, bring a mechanic to check the bike out. It's a beginner bike, it's expected that the bike will be dropped. You might drop it. It's not a big deal, as long as the bike is fully functional.

It's not bad, I highly doubt there is any frame damage. I also have a 2010 ninja 250 with 6800 on it for sale if you want to come take a look at it. PM me if you are interested.

Keep looking, you should be able to find a mint one for not much more or even the same.... or less apparently now^^

+1.

It's about $500 too much, IMO.

Then you have people that upgrade and just want their 250s gone. Someone sold theirs in the summer for 2k even. I would never pay over 3500 for an upgraded not dropped 250. I ended up getting 2950 for mine (listed for 3200, wanted 3k) and the guy thought it was an absolute steal. 08 250 if anyone was wondering.

We're talking about a previous gen bike here. And not the kind of prev gen that is somewhat similar to the new one - there is FI, hp, torque, ABS, proper 6th gear....
Ninja 250 era is over.

** I'm not saying no one should buy it. It's just not worth $3300 anymore, especially at this time of the year.

thanks for all the input guys i really appreciate it, im still looking not really in a rush ive noticed alot of people are still trying to get good money for there bikes and arent moving on price even thow its pretty much the end of the season but oh well ill find a good deal eventually.
im just outside the gta (about 45 mins away) in cambridge and bikes seem to be cheaper in this area then they are in the gta witch is weird cuz cars are alot cheaper in the gta then they are around here

The further you go away from GTA, the cheaper the bikes will be. I bought my first bike in Belleville, and 2nd in Rochester.

I bought my first bike its a 2009 ninja 250 all blacked out with only 4400 kms on it for $2700, too bad im not riding until the spring its gonna be such a long winter

It's a horrible price. My buddy just picked up a MINT 2011 250r with 4000km for $3400 (also included cover, rear stand, frame and swing-arm sliders).
I picked up a MINT 2007 SV650 with 4400KM for $4000 with a full hindle exhaust and some gear. People who sell at the end of the season usually need cash or they would wait until spring.

I was just going to say.. I got lucky and found a 2011 for $4000 with just over 2000km. So to OP, look around.

I just bought a mint 2010 for $3500 with a bunch of mods amounting to ~$800 security certificate included with 6700km. In all honestly I wasn't gonna go for anything higher than $3500 regardless of the year, though there are still people purchasing around the $4000-$4300 mark for '11 and '12 models.

Like somebody said above, the current model of 250 wont go down till there is a market for used 300s.

I was able to negotiate some 2011 sellers from $4k to $3.5k but my 2010 ended up being in better condition.
