Power cuts out when going over bumps

Its been happening sporadically since 2 weeks ago when I was on a Niagara run but seemed to go away. But now its come back and its worse than before.

Everytime I go over a bump, the power to my bike (all electrical....headlight, instrument cluster, FI) turns off for a split second and comes back on.

I checked my battery connections and everything seemed fine. What should I be looking for next? (I suck at electrical)

Bike is a 2007 Honda CBR125R.

Keep checking past the battery connection, it's likely a ground, or power connection that's wiggling loose.

Hmmm I'll try that. Would a dirty connection cause this too? The connection between the bike and the battery are pretty solid though.

kickstand safety switch

I dont think that the kickstand safety switch cuts power to all electrical on my bike.

If ALL circuits are going off, then the only possibilities involve the places that all electrical current to the bike goes through.

Main ground strap (The other end connects to one of the bolts for the starter motor on that bike)
Battery
Main positive cable to starter relay and main fuse
Ignition switch

That was the prob with my CBR 929, usually only did it when I had it leaned over and hit a bump. SCARY!

Which one is most likely if I'm losing current on bumps? I'll start with most likely first.

With any electrical issues I've had on my various bikes, I'd always make sure there was a solid Ground connection. You'd be surprised how many issues that resolves.

(damn you sv650....damn you.....)

I'd say battery terminals, then ground strap, then main fuse holder / starter solenoid, then ignition switch.

I seem to recall that Kilowatt4 (from the cbr125 forum) had something similar going on, a while back, but I don't recall what the problem was - ask him.

Ok, Im officially an idiot.

Apparently the positive lead was just sitting on the terminal and at first glace yesterday, I didnt notice because the lead cover made it appear as though it was connected.

Somehow I had 2000 problem free kms since I put the battery back in with just the battery cover holding it on top of the terminal.

Moving along....herp.....derp.
