I hope that's a insulated manthong....it's bloody freezing out....only 12 even this aft.

"Bikes of every make and style" -- They forgot to through "...of cruiser" into that sentence lol.

Pretty sure i had the only mv at pd. I had a guy ask me about it, got the impression he thought its a pos that royal sells. I prefer to think of it as the most rare bike at pd. Seen enough harleys to last for a few years.

You were probably parked right across from me. I was the yellow Ducati 748. Also a rarity at PD.

If I had of known in advance I would have dressed up like a pirate. Seems everyone there was dressed like a pirate - I didn't get the memo.

I too got my fill of Harley's. I honestly just don't get it. I don't begrudge anyone, I like all bikes. And, I'm sure all of the Harley's are fun for a few minutes (like a JetSki). But I thought the whole biker thing was about being non-conformist, iconoclastic. Seems it's all tassels, chaps and doo rags. Only thing missing are cards in the spokes. Most folks there seem to have stopped evolving (stylistically and culturally) once they turned 13.

Sportbike pilots are no different the HD pirates, just a different medium.

It's a cruiser convention of middle aged to older people.
They grew up with Harleys or have bought into the Harley image.
To each their own :)

Not everyone is physically able to ride a sport bike.

My take-away from PD13 was that cruisers out sell every other type of bike by a huge margin.

Never really see them being ridden much though ;)

For every 10 sport/touring/naked bikes I see there is maybe 1 cruiser (that never waves back)

It depends on where you are. In my experience, sport bikes aren't often seen outside of city centers. Cruisers aren't often seen near city centres. Sport touring aren't often seen. Dual sports are lost so they can't be seen.

I'll be heading out to Huntsville tomorrow and I already know I'll see something in the neighborhood of a couple score H-D Ultra Classics and Road Glides and couple dozen other metric cruisers, a half dozen sport bikes, and maybe a V-Strom.

That's because they only use the ramps when they hit the next city.
While you're buzzing around in circles, they're heading for the Tim Horton's in the next town over.
Not sure if I have a picture, I haven't been in a year or two.

I did go on a Saturday the 14th once, and was amazed at the clean-up job they'd done.

Go touring, you'll see way more HD"s than any other bike.
